IN MADINA

WADI AQEEQ

The Blessed Aqeeq Valley is one of the city’s most famous valleys. It is located on the western side of it, where it enters the city from the north of Mount Ayr. Then it goes a little towards the northeast, then north, and meets the Qanat Valley coming from the east of the city in a place called Al-Asayal Complex in the Zaghaba area. Several hadiths have been mentioned in His virtue. Al-Bukhari narrated that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: He said: (He came to me tonight coming from my Lord and said, “Pray in this blessed valley.”) Its stream continues to fill with water whenever heavy rain falls.

RANUNA

WADI RANUNA

It starts from the reefs of Jabal Maqman, located south of the city, and heads north until it enters the city’s orchards between Quba’ And Al-Awali, and extends to the Qurban area, then it slopes slightly until it flows into the course of Wadi Bathan and becomes part of it. The name of Wadi Ranuna is linked to the Jummah Mosque, which was built close to its old course, north of the Quba Mosque and approximately (900) meters away from it, and it covered most of the valley’s course.

WADI QANATA

One of the large valleys in the city, entering it from its eastern-north side, and passing from the south of Mount Uhud towards
It leans slightly to the north until it meets Wadi Al-Aqiq at the Al-Asayal complex in the Zaghaba area. The sources mention this
Historically, its course changed in the east of the city in the year 654 AH / 1226 AD, due to a huge volcano that blocked the lava.
Its course flowed from it towards the city, then it turned north and a great lake gathered behind it, which remained for many years.
A dam was recently built over it in the Al-Aqul area, behind which a lot of water collects when it rains, lasting for several months.
