USMAN BIN AFFAN

SAQIFA BANI SAEDA
It is the place where the Ansar gathered on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the year 11 AH, corresponding to June 7 in the year 632 AD. Immediately after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, to consult on the pledge of allegiance to the Emir of the Muslims, the Saqifah is located in the northwestern courtyard of the Prophet’s Mosque in the homes of the Banu Sa’idah of the Khazraj tribe. It is distinguished by a roofed building with three walls and an open front. One of the most famous figures of the Banu Sa’idah is the venerable companion Saad bin Ubadah, may God be pleased with him.
